I'm Giovanni, a penetration tester at DGS S.p.A. I run security tests on web applications, mobile devices and corporate networks. I can independently run phishing campaigns and security assessments of Active Directory and Wi-Fi networks.
In my spare time I train, play CTFs and write on the blog what I learn, so it helps beginners too.

AUNTSo what do you do for a living?
MEI'm a penetration tester.
AUNT…a what?
MEYou know a burglar? Picture asking a burglar who is your friend to break into your house.
AUNTWhy would I do that?
MEBecause he really tries: forces the door, tries the windows, looks for the key under the mat. But he doesn't steal anything.
MEIn the end he tells you how he got in, so you can fix it before a real burglar shows up. That's what I do, only the house is a company.
AUNTOh… and they actually pay you?
I simulate real cyber attacks, hired by companies, to find vulnerabilities before someone with bad intentions does.
